School Days are here
Its the time of the year again here in the Philippines that kids are going back to school. After all the stress brought by choosing the school, enrollment and school stuff, my son has finally been going to school and based from his expressions during dismissal, I think he's enjoying the activities so far.
The Stress
Quillan has no experience going to school. Not even short classes for arts, music or sports. We intended it to be that way and I just maximized my being a stay-at-home mom and taught him the basics which we believed were taught in nursery level.
Little did we know, because of the K-12 Program being implemented by the Philippine Education system, Quillan's age (turning 6 on October) will fall at Grade 1 level already. That freaked me bigtime. I even blamed myself for not letting him start to go to school at the age of 3 or 4. But I calmed myself and realized, Of course not. I taught him at home. He knows his alphabets, numbers, shapes and colors and I know I provided him with very good educational supplements while we're home schooling. I know we were so frugal about sending him to nursery level. We were just practical. I just cant see the point of spending tuition fees leveling to a tertiary education while all they do in school is play and improve cognitive skills, while in fact parents can do it at home with their kids. But come to think of it, not all parents are like me who chose to be at home and can sacrifice career with family life.

Model Wannabe
"Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe." --Gail Devers
Happy New Year Everyone!!!
Its always been a childhood dream to be an actress. Well it will be a dream for good I must say because I'm not really good in acting except when I want to insist on something from Hubby or my son. There's the alligator's tears and the tantrums here and there.
So I shifted my dream into modeling. That, is a bit achievable! Its a frustration when I was a child but since my Mama is not like me who's very stage-mom material I never got a chance neither my 4 sisters. Thats why when I became a mommy, I tried to get my son into one. Joined magazine contests, online contests and even joined some modelling opportunities. I didn't pushed hard my son though because I found he's not really into it so I took advantage of it for myself...LOL...
I posed and ramped for some friends to promote their clubs and even a clothing line. I'm so thankful that for even a simple experience I got to fulfill a long time dream.
But wait there's more...
In the year 2011, I also appeared in TV show for Mommies featuring my running hobby and how I started with the sport -- MOMents of Net 21. Below is the link to that episode clip. Its been frequently replayed so check it out.
But dont try to look for me at the TVC, Im just part of the "fillers" that they hire for the "Marathon" feel.

Another dream came true that year. To be part of history. Why? Because I was privileged to become a part of a TV Commercial for a National Marathon, the Milo Marathon.

A Mommy for 5 Years
Time flies (really) fast when you're having fun. I cannot believe my eyes seeing lots and lots of photos of us 3 for the past 5 years we're together. From our trips, reunions and some random shots from our phone cam and camera. Lots of things have changed. Many things happened.
These are photos from 5 years ago and now - in comparison. Yeah, notice the tank top I'm wearing its still the same. Only comes to show that there are still things that remain the same, including my figure. LOL!

Celebrating 11 years of Love
Eleven years and three days ago I grabbed back the dream that I slipped. I said yes to the man who promised me to take care of me for the rest of my life. Back then we became 'boyfriend and girlfriend'.
Three days ago I woke up surprised with a bouquet of Stargazers laid on top of my pillow and head. I admit I expected something for the day but not as sweet as this.
Cris has his ways to make me fall in love again and again. I look forward for more years with him and our kids.
